The stories in this volume are, to some extent, pious fiction, but more of them are impious fiction, showing Jesus as a vicious child who would kill a playmate for accidentally running into him, and blind the playmate's parents. This definitely does not belong in the New Testament. It is sacrilegious.
When the church and the powers that be at the time decided to suppress certain gospels from the bible, it left us Christians without the "whole story" and portrayed certain people in the bible as something they were not or did not portray them for what they really were. This series of books helps to fill in some of the blanks left and gives us all something to think about on how God wants us to be with and for him.
